On the incremental form of dissipativity

Following the seminal work of Zames, input-output theory 70s acknowledged that incremental properties (e.g. gain) are relevant quantities to study in nonlinear feedback system analysis. Yet, non-incremental analysis has dominated use dissipativity control from 80s. Results connecting and scattered progress been limited. This abstract investigates whether this theoretical gap is fundamental nature considers new avenues circumvent it.
